Our Volunteers

No grassroots rugby club can survive without volunteers, and our volunteer teams here at West Norfolk are no different. We pride ourselves on the spirit, passion and commitment that each and every member of this team brings to our club, as we know that it means taking on additional roles on top of everything that people do in their own lives. From Club President to serving at a cake stall, each and every person who contributes to the running of the Club is valued and appreciated.

We are always looking for more people to add to this incredible group who keep our club running, so whether you feel like you have transferable skills or not, we’d love to hear from you as there are many ways to help.

The only thing we ask for is that people commit to the days you have said yes to – unless, of course, there are exceptional circumstances – so that we can effectively plan and ensure we are safely able to support matches or festivals.

Typical roles and responsibilities include:

  • Helping in various roles on Match Days and Youth/ Mini Festivals, including covering the car parking, BBQ cooking and serving, being a general runner and more
  • Kitchen duties for Youth and Mini days, preparing and serving post-match food safely and effectively
  • More experienced volunteers may also look to support as a Duty Officer on Match Days and Festivals, helping to ensure that all aspects of the Club are working as needed, and issues are managed accordingly
